Great LEIA meeting yesterday in London, lots to discuss - lift standards/Brexit/ apprencticeships/project bank accounts/the new site safety handbook/ recent successful LiftEx event but probably the topic that was discussed in most depth was Health and Safety. Discussing our industry stats on reportable accidents and reflecting on the numbers. Coroner report questioning LOLER inspector qualifications, how there are no formal minimum standards to be a lift engineer + a host of other concerns. For us in the lift industry it brought the age old concern of a lack of supplementary tests being requested by LOLER inspection bodies. We are sure there will be more to come from this via HSE down the line ... See MoreSee Less
